KADPA토요학교 새학기 출발! KADPA school kicked off!
우리 친구들의 주말을 책임지는 (ㅎㅎ) 카드파스쿨이 9월 24일 코리언 페스티벌 참여를 전야제로, 2022-2023학기를 시작했습니다.
한미장애인협회 (KADPA) 회원 자녀들에게 무료로 제공되는 이 프로그램은 한글 수업 (한글, 노래, 만들기, 율동, 한국 역사와 문화 등)과 태권도, 그리고 온 몸 움직임 및 음악 치료 등의 수업으로 매주 토요일 오전 10시부터 진행되고 있습니다. 아직은 면역력 약한 자녀들이 많은 관계로 줌 수업으로 진행되며 팬데믹 이전에 실시했던 필드 트립을 이번 학기부터 부활하여 매달 1번씩 갖게 되었습니다.
그 첫 필드 트립으로 10월 1일에 볼링장에 다녀왔습니다. 2년만에 부활한 볼링장 체험에 아이들은 최고로 즐겁고 신나게 온 몸을 움직여 땀을 흘렸습니다.
KADPA school 2022-2023 has just started!
This program is offered to our member children with Korean language, culture, history, and dance and TaeKwonDo as well as Handbells. We planned to resume field trips once a month this year after pandemic era.
The first field trip was to Bowling arena on October 1st. How fun and exciting time they had!

일시 Time: 매주 토요일 Every Saturday morning
장소 Place: 카드파 사무실과 현장학습처 KADPA Office and Field trip sites
우리 아이들에게 한글, 미술/만들기, 음악, 율동, 크로마하프, 북/장구, 체조, 태권도 등을 통한 한국의 정서와 문화, 한글 등을 배우게 하며 아래에 소개된 것처럼 다양한 현장학습 경험도 제공합니다. 재외동포재단의 기금이 크게 도움을 주고 있습니다.
Our member children take classes of learning Hangul(Korean language), experiencing culture through arts and craft, music and dance, chromaharp, drum/double headed drum, Taekwondo, etc. Funds from the Overseas Koreans Foundation assist us greatly.

Field Trips
일시Time: 격주 토요일 Bi-weekly Saturdays
장소Place: 다양한 현장 Various Places/Events
토요학교의 교실 수업과 엇갈려 격주 토요일마다 볼링, 영화, 뮤지컬, 수영장, 기차 여행, 헤이 라이드, 스키/스노우 튜빙, 아이스 스케이팅, 수족관, 동물원, 공원 걷기, 하버 쿠루즈/수상 택시, 체육관 실습, 농장 방문, 워터마인 물놀이 등 다양한 필드 트립을 통해 사회/세상과 소통하는 법을 배웁니다.
Every other Saturday alternately, we provide various field trip opportunities including bowling, movies, musicals, swimming pools, train trips, hay ride, ski/snow tubing, ice skating, aquarium, zoo, walk/hike in parks, harbor cruise/water taxi ride, gym activities, farm visit, Water Mine Swimming Hole, etc. to help our children learn how to relate to and communicate with society/world.
