제3회 달라스 미주 장애인체전 “빛난 도전” The 3rd Dallas Parasports Festival

지난 6월 5일과 6일 이틀간 달라스에서 열린 장애인체전에서 우리 메릴랜드 선수단이 값진 결실을 맺고 돌아왔습니다.

우리 선수단은 금메달 1개, 은메달 17개, 동메달 12개, 총점 696점으로 종합 5위를 차지했습니다! 비록 목표했던 3위는 아쉽게도 이르지 못했지만, 매 경기마다 한계를 뛰어넘으며 보여준 우리 선수들의 투지와 선전은 그 자체로 깊은 감동이었습니다.

On June 5th and 6th, the National Korean-American Para Sports Festivals were held in Dallas, and our proud Maryland athletes returned with invaluable achievements.

The Maryland delegation took 5th place overall, securing 1 gold, 17 silver, and 12 bronze medals, with a total of 696 points. Although we fell just short of our initial goal of 3rd place, the incredible sportsmanship and dedication displayed by our athletes in every single match was deeply inspiring.

이번 체전에서는 한궁, 보치아, 수영, 볼링, 피클볼, 탁구, 농구, 축구 등 다양한 종목이 치러졌습니다. 각자의 경기에서 매 순간 최선을 다하며 열정적으로 임하고 있는 참가자들의 자랑스러운 모습입니다.

Participants give it their all in various sports, including Hangung, boccia, swimming, bowling, pickleball, table tennis, basketball, and soccer. These photos capture their incredible passion and dedication in every single match.

이번 체전에서 땀 흘리며 멋진 경기를 보여주신 모든 선수단 여러분, 그리고 곁에서 든든한 버팀목이 되어주신 보호자님들과 보이지 않는 곳에서 헌신해 주신 자원봉사자분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 여러분의 열정과 노고 덕분에 이번 대회가 더욱 빛날 수 있었습니다.

다음 제4회 미주 장애인체전은 2년 뒤인 2028년, '바람의 도시' 시카고에서 개최될 예정입니다.

그동안 더욱 기량을 갈고닦아 2년 후 시카고에서 더 건강하고 멋진 모습으로 다시 만날 수 있기를 기대합니다. 참가하셨던 모든 분들, 이번 체전에서도 정말 수고 많으셨습니다!

A heartfelt thank you to all the athletes who gave their absolute best, the families and guardians who provided unwavering support, and the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Your passion and dedication made this festival truly shining and memorable.

The 4th National Para Sports Festival will be held two years from now, in 2028, in the 'Windy City' of Chicago.

We hope you continue to hone your skills and stay healthy so that we can meet again with even greater results in two years. Thank you all for your incredible hard work and inspiring spirits at this year's festival!
